My Boohoo DIY!

T-shirt* // Boohoo
Shorts (were trousers) // Thrifted & DIY
Lipstick // Mac Morange

So at the moment Boohoo are running a campaign at the moment where if you tweet a DIY that you've done with the hashtags #BoohooDIY and #BoohooSWAG you're in for a chance of winning two Parklife Festival tickets!  I was sent a little kit with a selection of studs, gems, glitter paint and glue as well as a basic charcoal tee so I went a little nuts with the glue and gems!  I was originally going to glue on a gem kind of 'bib' and had it laid out until my mum suggested I stick them on the sleeves.  I was skeptical at first but I laid out the gems and thought it looked great!  I haven't seen anything similar to it before and when wearing the top you can hardly feel that they're there.  As you can see from the photos, I laid the gems symmetrically but that's just because I'm a little OCD, I think it would also look awesome if they were sporadically placed, and if I had more gems I would definitely have covered the whole sleeve!  What do you think of my DIY, will you be entering the #BoohooSwag competition? If so it ends June 3rd so be quick!

Glitter Gradient Nails // Hey! Get in Lime!

As a bit of a filler post I wanted to show you guys my nails from a little while ago.  I painted them myself and they were actually really easy to do but look great!  I unfortunately couldn't find anywhere online to buy this nail lacquer as I think it's discontinued.  I also couldn't find a Topshop listing for the glitter polish alone (it's called Ice Crush from Topshop) but you can buy it in a set of three here! All you have to do is do a couple of coats of the base colour, and layer up the glitter, gradually spreading it out and finish with a top coat.  I got a lot of compliments and it's definitely my favourite nail art I've done for a while!

YOU SEE EVERYTHING IN BLACK AND WHITE

Dress* // SheInside
Necklace* // Delilah Dust
Spiked Damsels // Jeffrey Campbell
Rings // Rachael Sudlow, Love Clothing*, vintage & markets

Has anyone else watched those Cat Face videos from a while ago on YouTube?  Wearing this dress gets the theme song stuck in my head haha..  Anyway, I really love the print on this dress, it's so detailed and I love the sharp blue accent in the eyes. Best of all it's only £20 from SheInside!  I'm also pretty sure that Topshop brought one out almost identical not so long ago so buying this one can get you the same look for less!

Get the perfect Vegas casino look!

1 / 2 / 34 / 5 / 6 / 78 / 9 / 10 / 11 / 12 / 13
I've been really inspired by the styles rocked by the stars recently, at a variety of award shows.  I wanted to put together a different blog post than usual so I thought this would be a good idea.  I just love the glamorous style rocked by glamorous girls like Lana Del Rey but within a decent price range.  All of the above are from high street stores with an affordable price tag.  Just imagine yourself strutting around Hollywood in the elegant blue dress, or playing poker in a Vegas casino in the sexy sequin number!  What are your thoughts about fashion inspired by A-listers?

WE WILL BECOME SILHOUETTES

Crop top* // Pretty Disturbia
Belt // Primark
Dungarees // Rokit
Socks* // OASAP
Creepers // Underground
Earrings // ASOS
Necklace // Next
Bracelet* // OASAP
Rings // Market, H&M, ?, Harts + Crosses*, IRIDESCENT

So looking back at this look all I have in my head is 'hillbilly chic'.  Whether this is a good or bad thing I'm unsure but I thought I'd post it anyway!  I'm not usually one for the gold jewellery but I gave it a go with this outfit and finally got to feature my new octopus ring from H&M.  I'm also rocking my Pretty Disturbia crop top with a rad blurred flower print, and I've actually had this pair of dungarees for around a year now and it honestly escapes me how I haven't featured it in an outfit post yet.  I got it from Rokit vintage and although it's a little big I love it to pieces and it's so versatile, you can literally wear it with anything!

Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Black Mascara Review

Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Mascara - £22 - House of Fraser

My mum has definitely turned me into a make up snob, but it's just the best when your mum returns from holiday with cosmetics because she can't resist duty free!  Anyway, read on for my attempt at being a beauty blogger.
My first impression of this mascara was that the brush is very similar to that of the L'Oreal Telescopic Explosion mascara that I owned a good while ago.  I remember that working but was not really that impressed with this mascara.  The brush is small so obviously it's very easy to use on your bottom and inside lashes.  It separates lashes well but doesn't really add volume or length, I found the brush was too small to use on my top lashes and it would take a while to see a difference.  I do, however, use the brush as a 'base' for my actual mascara and as a finishing touch in the corners etc.  It is a true black which I like in a mascara and after wearing it for a day there was no flaking or smudging.  For £22 I wouldn't buy this mascara again, but it's received mixed views, with a lot of people raving about it, so don't take my word for it!

SWEET KEROSENE

Skull tee* // Chicnova
Shorts // Betty Barclay via charity shop
Chelsea boots // Deena & Ozzy via Urban Outfitters
Skeleton hair clip* // Paccony
Necklaces // Both DIY
Bracelet* // Persunmall
Rings // Vintage, Rachael Sudlow, Market, Primark, Market

So today's outfit is quite thrifty for me!  A lot of the time my charity shop finds might be satisfactory, but never really that amazing.  I stumbled upon a pair of capri trousers in a charity shop in Farnham a little while ago and obviously the first thing that stood out was the fact they were galaxy and rose print, but the price tag was also something like £6 which is a lot for a charity shop.  It crossed my mind to put them back but I decided to buy them, and subsequently made them into shorts, and I absolutely adore them!  They are a little big for me so I'm considering selling them but they're so unique they'll be hard to let go of.  I decided to pair it with my Skull tee from Chicnova, which looks exactly like the Lazy Oaf tee they brought out not so long ago and I never bought.  Not really my most favourite of looks but simple I guess!
