So this is the first time I've ever posted a 'face of the day' and maybe I'll post more in the future? All I'm gonna say is thank god for bright sunlight which makes my skin look clear! This was actually taken a little while ago, which you may be able to tell because it's pre-fringe and my hair is so bright! It's really shitty and faded at the moment because I've been concentrating on college so much recently, but I'm treating myself and going to the salon next week to get it redone so I'm looking forward to that!

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder
Yesterday I had to pop to the supermarket with mum, and lately I've been really unhappy with my skin, as my foundation just comes off within a few hours, even with base coat and concealer. I've heard that a good thing to do is seal your liquid foundation with a pressed powder, and as we passed the makeup section I thought I'd pick one up. I think that matte makeup looks great, but I've had bad experiences in the past with matte makeup, which made me spottier than if I didn't wear makeup at all! However, this Stay Matte pressed powder from Rimmel is made with minerals, so it doesn't block pores as badly.
The product is a significant size, around the size of my palm, and cost £4.99. It's slightly annoying seeing as it didn't come with a makeup sponge/brush so I bought some separate, 4 for £2 which isn't too bad. The packaging is nice but I have a feeling that it's flimsy and will break if it's rattled round in my bag too much, as the plastic part is pretty raised from the powder.
I used it this morning, and the coverage and finish was actually really great. It stayed for a few hours (the packaging says it lasts 5 hours) and refreshed it at lunch time, so it lasted well. I bought it in 001, which is the palest colour, and apparently transparent. It was a little pale for me but you can always use bronzer over the top, better to be pale than orange! Altogether I think the products it pretty great, worth the money and I'm glad I resolved my foundation problem!
