Reverse this curse

Just wanted to share a couple of photo's I took a short while ago, it's a chandelier from my Nana's house and I was playing around with different modes on my camera.  Today was kinda crap really, for a start it's my ex's birthday and memories of him keep creeping up on me, and I was asked to go and see a model agency after submitting some photos of myself, so I took the train to London to see them.  I got there after a train journey which took the best part of two hours and didn't even get 10 minutes in the agency.  They said that I was 'too commercial looking' and wouldn't suit high fashion, which was what they specialised in and gave me a list of agencies that might be more interested in me.  What I don't get is why they didn't tell me this when I had just submitted my pictures, rather than making me take the day off college when I'm already really behind.  All in all, today's been one big kick to my confidence.  (Sorry for the negative post but I need to let it out somewhere)

We're so sick & oh so tired

Hey guys, just a quick post before I go to bed.  I don't really have that much to say other than my mum and stepdad have been going through a rough time lately and he left for a few days last week so that's been on my mind a lot lately.  I'm pretty shook up about the whole thing but I'm just hoping everything will work out and things will be back to normal, so that's why I've been kinda absent.  The picture's pretty random I know, but i thought it was cool looking so popped it in as I hate posts that are solely writing.  Lastly it's a long shot, but it would really mean a lot to me if you could vote for me in a competition here.  You just have to connect it to facebook (don't worry, it doesn't post anything on your wall etc) and then find me on the 'most popular' tab then click the vote button. Birthday!

So I know I haven't really been updating lately, but today is my 17th birthday! Bit late to post I know, but better late than never.  I didn't really make it much of an event, just had a few friends round for a little gathering yesterday and today spent the day with the boyfriend, and am currently at his house.  I got some lovely little presents from my friends, including some cute jewellery and an adorable mini alarm clock!  From my dad I got a load of bath stuff which smells amazing, and next week I'm going to go with him to town and hopefully going to get the new iPhone (!!) as my contract expired.  From my boyfriend, Alex, I got the Drop Dead denim jacket I've been wanting for ages which I did in fact tell him not to buy, as it's really expensive, but I love it anyway, he's such a cutie (:  Lastly I don't know what I've got from my mum as I haven't actually seen her all weekend, but my brother says it's good :D  Altogether, my weekend has been awesome so far and I can't wait to be driving soon! (When I finally get round to applying for my provisional..).

At the moment I'm pretty tired, just chilling watching TV and nursing a food baby, plus my hand kinda hurts, as yesterday I tried opening a stiff window and actually pushed my hand straight through! (pictures to follow soon).  My palm got a little cut up but nothing major, I can still play guitar hero so it's all good!(;

College

So today is one of those days where I cannot think of anything to post.  I've been at college all morning for an induction day and it was pretty nerve wracking.  There were so many people there, and it was only less than half my year, so it's going to be so weird getting used to a super busy college, with 3300 students.  I hope to make some new friends soon, as I know absolutely no one in my form.  I'm taking graphic design, photography, english language and business studies, and in a week I have 3 late starts and 1 early finish which isn't too bad!  Also the picture is irrelevant, I took it a while ago and just needed a picture for the post, as I hate posting a blog entry without a photo! Excuse the Pokénerd-ness.

A Big Fat Thank You

Random post, but I kinda wanted to share a new picture with you guys.  I originally took this to send off to a modelling caster-person (?) where I wasn't wearing any makeup, and I decided to play around with the Topshop Makeover site, just for fun, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! I mean if you look carefully the eyelashes look quite fake, but my intention is to use it as icons for websites so it'll often be small anyway. I usually avoid pictures focusing on my face, as I'm not as confident when taking them, which is why I take more full body outfit posts, as the focus is on the outfit rather than my face. (I'm blabbing, I'll shut up now).

Anyway, my intention of this post is to thank my followers.  I started this blog in February and in 7 months I've gained 250 followers, not including followers on Bloglovin', Lookbook, Twitter and Tumblr.  I honestly never thought I'd get this far, as I have had a blog before, and the highest amount of followers I got was 33!  I put a lot of time and effort into my blog, so it's so good knowing that it all pays off.  I also feel that I've networked a little, mostly through Twitter, and chatting to other bloggers on there which is really nice, and I really feel part of a community.  So to close this post, thank you so much, all my followers. Big love to each and every one of you!

Moleskine

I've had my Moleskine for quite a while now, and realised that I've never actually shared any of my art that I've done in it.  This lot is actually quite old, mostly dating from June and July this year, when I was on holiday in Spain but better late than never I guess.  So far I've really enjoyed having a Moleskine, as it's so much better quality than normal notebooks, and I've really loved art journalling, so would definitely recommend it to anyone, be you creative or not!

Prom

As you may know from my previous posts or if you are a follower of my twitter, my prom was on sunday and I wanted to share some (or a lot of) photos.  I'm obviously the blonde in the pink dress, and my date is my boyfriend Alex, with his little matching tie and pocket hanky whatsit.  I had pre drinks at mine where everyone had photo's taken with their dates, then we had some with the stretch hummer and we were off to the venue.  The venue was so beautiful, with really grand buildings and amazing grounds with peacocks roaming around (only have one picture of it!) and it's so weird finding blue and green feathers around when you're used seeing to scabby pidgeon feathers!  We got in and had our photo's taken professionally (when they're on the site I might ammend them to this post) and they served buck's fizz, which was nice as a lot of proms do not allow any alcohol.  There was a little finger buffet put out as well and the desserts were the cutest;  I had the chocolate berry cheesecake, which you can see in the picture, and wow it was so yummy!  If you read the shoe haul/panic post the other day, you'll know that I really couldn't decide which shoes to wear, and you'll now be able to see that I chose the studded River Island ones.  They looked really good and matched my clutch, but they absolutely killed my feet, resulting in me having to hobble around and walk slowly, but at least the pain was worth it!

At 11:30 we all went to my friends house for the after prom party which is basically where everyone just gets quite drunk.  I didn't really drink too much as I was absolutely knackered so I just got all grumpy!  I cannot handle going without sleep, I get so irritable and snappy it's unreal.  We weren't supposed to be allowed inside her house, but as everyone wanted to stay up, they were in the marquee where we were originally supposed to be sleeping, so I was let in the house to sleep on the sofa after much begging, but still didn't get much.  Thankfully I got to my mums relatively early in the day and had a powernap to keep me going!

Altogether, my prom was amazing, I could not have asked for a better night and it was so lovely seeing the average people I used to see at school everyday looking so amazing all dressed up.  I've got to go get packing for my holiday in a few days so congrats if you read all this and apologies for the rambling and  image overload!

First off, apologies for the sheer ridiculousness of these photos, typical drunken teen party haha.  I've left out most of the horrendous ones, with a few left in, to show you the costumes and stuff.  The theme was American college and I dressed as a basketball player!  There were a few really cool costumes, for example, there were several cheerleaders, sportsmen as well as a Pamela Anderson and David à la Baywatch.  I'm not quite sure how that relates to American high school, but nevertheless they were great costumes!  I will say, however, that the best part of the night for me was actually the walk home.  I lived really near to the venue so we walked, semi drunk back home, deciding to have a plankathon, where we basically planked on everything worth planking on.  If you don't know what planking is, it's where one puts themself in a somewhat awkward place, and stays completely rigid and straight, arms by their side.  Ours weren't really great, considering the alcohol consumed, but they're still pretty funny.  They are not really blog material though, and would look messy so if you want to see them, click read more below! 

School

I am finally free from my secondary school, and now I'm already starting to miss it.  I only joined in year 9, so spent 3 years there and I made so many friends and although there are some bad memories there, there are more amazing ones.  I worked my ass off those 3 years, especially in this last one and I'll always remember my time there.
