Boohoo AW14 Collection Preview

NECKLACE* // PRIMARK
BLAZER* // CHICWISH
TOP* // PRIMARK
BELT // VINTAGE
SHORTS* // SHEINSIDE
SANDALS* // BOOHOO

This post is long overdue, but better late than never!  A couple of weeks ago I attended the Boohoo AW14 preview event with fellow bloggers Leanne, Laura and Kristiana as well as a couple others to have a little browse of the new collections.  I've always been a huge fan of Boohoo and this time they have truly outdone themselves - there are so many incredible trends they're releasing; from Gatsby inspired pieces, to super sports luxe to glamorous fur and sequins, everything is exceptionally high quality, and Boohoo always promise affordable prices so I cannot wait til' everything it released.  I can't believe I'm saying this with such lovely weather outside, but bring on autumn!

New Look #DiscoverDenim Press Day

Necklace* // The Lost Lanes
Jumper* // Boohoo
Skirt* // Awwdore
Shoes // Topshop

Photos 2 & 3 by Samantha from Nashbag
Photo 6 from New Look

If you haven't been living under a rock for the past couple weeks then you'll know that denim is going to be huge this S/S.  Luckily, New Look have brought out a massive collection of denim, so big they could actually hold an event for it - from playsuits to a zillion different cuts and washes of jeans; you want it, New Look got it.

You may notice from above that only a couple of photos are my own; that would be because despite lugging my camera in and out of London, my memory card corrupted and I lost all my photos.  Disappointing but I really wanted to show you guys what it all looked like and the incredible attention to detail (everything was blue, even the salt!).  I don't know how on earth the organisers managed to find blue washing machines, let alone different shades but it was a seriously cool idea.

My favourite pieces from the collection definitely include the range of playsuits and dresses and has made me really want to venture out of skinny jean territory and into the boyfriend/mom styles (which may or may not happen very soon!).  The most predominant feature of the collection, in my opinion, was the quality of everything.  All pieces were super soft and of a very high quality, designed down to the last detail, yet still being sold at affordable prices - couldn't ask for anything better!

I left the event filled with (a LOT) of fish & chips, blue slushie and blue candy floss and some seriously rad nails done by Claire K Nails and would like to say a big fat thank you to the New Look team for organising such a great event and, of course, for inviting me along!  Oh, and if you'd like to see me awkwardly ramble about customising denim be sure to watch the video above!

BLEACH LONDON 'Super Cool Colour' Launch Party

Last week I was lucky enough to be one of the bloggers to attend the Bleach London launch party for their new range of home hair dyes now available in Boots.  With my pink locks, I blended right in with the blur of bloggers and stylists, almost all rocking some kind of coloured tresses.  When I arrived I was greeted with Lola's Cupcakes and what I thought were demo models, until I realised all the bloggers were getting their hair done!  Now I've been there done that with the whole dip dye thing, but watching everyone else getting kaleidoscope hair left mine looking lacklustre so I had an inky dip dye while I was there!  I got Bruised Violet and since I've washed my hair twice and it's still going strong.

If you're feeling a bit bored with your current hair situation, semi-permanent dyes are definitely the way to go - adding a pop of colour can change it up just enough to give a confidence boost while keeping it temporary and not too wild.  Bleach have also brought out dip dye and lightening kits for if you have darker hair and want to go colourful.

Anyway - a huge thank you to all of the Bleach team for putting on a great event, keep up the good work and thank you so much for my purple locks and also for the bottle of dye, I'll be using 'The Big Pink' to refresh my colour from now on!

Pandora AW13 Collection Preview & Flagship Store Opening

So the other day I was lucky enough to attend the Pandora press event to see their new collection and to celebrate the opening of their flagship store on Oxford Street.  I absolutely adore the autumn collection as they venture from muted rose colours into richer hues like emerald green and deep purple. It is inspired by enchanted autumn woodlands and features whimsical designs of delicate feathers and leaves, embellished with glittering stones, capturing femininity and fragility.  The food there was also both beautiful and delicious - I ate far to many canapés, but how can you not when you're surrounded by cake pops and macarons?  I'd like to say a big fat thank you to the Pandora team for putting on such a lovely event and for the gorgeous necklace I received in my goodie bag - it's definitely going to be constantly featured in my autumn outfits!  To see the new collection click here for the Pandora website!

Missguided AW13 Press Day

The other day I had the great pleasure of attending the Missguided AW13 press day and lets just say, thank god I took photos of the event before I started on the cocktails because the alcohol was flowing!  It was held in a beautiful stained glass room in a hotel just off Oxford Street in London, I'm so annoyed my photos of the windows all turned out blurry because it was absolutely breathtaking.  The clothes were all on rails, organised by different themes, such as sports luxe, baroque/religious, higher end glam, and so on.  I absolutely love the collection as each item has so much detail and is great quality, which is an amazing combination with such affordable prices that Missguided always promises.  My favourite pieces were the religious prints, sequin maxi skirt (photos didn't turn out good so it's not featured!) and I love the take on the cut out boots trend - the burgundy and snakeskin leather go together so well and they might just make their way into my wardrobe when the collection is released!

I got to speak to the designer who was so lovely, and it's interesting to know the thought processes behind the collections.  I got to spend time with Sarah, Leanne and Sara again, and met Kavita, Robyn and Francesca who are all lovely!  We all got real flowers put in our hair and because we stayed until the end we got the special press goodie bags that were left over a couple of us popped into the American Apparel sale afterwards.

I'd just like to say a massive thank you to the Missguided team for organising such a great event and I hope you guys have liked the little sneak peek of the new collection!
