I've said it before and I'll say it again; bells are gonna be big. I've seen them around a lot recently on the blogosphere but most shops that sell them are abroad and aren't too affordable! For this reason I'm overjoyed that the likes of ASOS and Motel have started making them, so I don't have to pay a ridiculous amount on shipping and customs. I think the shape of bells are so flattering - both slimming and lengthening, especially if you hide big platforms with them - altogether a total win for me.
What's your opinion on bell bottoms, yay or nay?

When I was in school, everybody was wearing them in the 90ies so I feel very ambivalent towards this shape really. They sort of scare me and put me back to the school days... Hair Mascara, Buffalo platforms, flares, gel hair, ziczac part, tattoo choker necklaces, neon, fuzzy jumpers so I don't think I could ever wear them, they get really wet and dirty in rain, too :D
ReplyDeleteI used to find them in thrift stores a lot a few years ago. I'm personally not a fan of it because I'm too short and it'll just drag. haha I do like the velvet look of the ones up there!
ReplyDeleteoh yeah, revival of bell bottoms... not bad but for me - i don't know. i always loved skinny jeans and keep the distance to trends. but bell bottoms look lovely on many people - so what! for me there no yay or nay :)

I like the Asos crochet ones, that the ones I would rock with a crop top and a loose flanel shirt...

I'm not a fan, but only because Im short and curvy and don't think they'd suit me! they'd look so good on you tho!
ReplyDeleteAine Oh
Not sure whether I'll be pulling this off as I'm really into my leggings and skinny jeans but I'd love to see how you style them in the future! x

ReplyDeleteOmg all of those are so cute! I'd totally wear them, even though I'm more of a skinny jeans/jeggings kind of girl--I'd wear bell bottoms for like a throw-back party or even just to go with an outfit ;)

I like the ones with prints but denim bell bottoms are just not for me. I remember flare jeans in high school and I would always rip the backs of those things because all they did was drag on the floor... never again.

Heh - I love flares, but I'm not sure if I could quite do bell bottoms. They definitely offer a nice shape, though!
