A WEEKEND AWAY TO KENDAL CALLING WITH CAT FOOTWEAR #CATFESTIVALDIARIES

At the beginning of the month, I took a trip to The Lake District, for a weekend in the mountains, with the addition of a huge music festival (probably the only reason I'd visit - I'm more of a city gal!).  I took my friend Polly, and we had a lovely time wandering around the different stages, discovering new acts.

The festival was very much like Latitude - a mixture of arena and woodland, with loads of fun art installations and activities to participate in.  I'll miss midnight walks through neon-laced forests, so much fun!  The food was also incredible - I've noticed it's really improved from sweaty burgers, and it's become something I get pretty excited about.  We started every day with crumpets, and I had some delish meals there, including revisiting one of my faves - Pieminister!

Of course Snoop Dogg was one of the highlights of the weekend.  He had a great vibe, the crowd was loving him, and the setlist was perfect - so happy I can say I've finally seen him live!  Also up there is a band we discovered there, called Henge.  We saw them setting up late saturday night, and as they were all in alien/robot/frog costumes, we decided to stick around to see what they were like.  Their music was crazy, and they had dancers come on every couple of songs, showing the crowd dance moves, and it was a ton of fun.  It's hard to describe the genre, but the KC website states 'lively electronic music laced with pleasant atmospherics, psychedelic rollercoustics and rude bass'.  We found out they were also playing a set Sunday too, so of course we had to go see them, once again they did not disappoint, and I'm making it my mission to catch another gig from them!

It was pretty darn muddy at the festival, so my CAT boots were my saviour - I've worn them to a good few festivals now and they're definitely my boot of choice;  more comfortable than wellies and way more stylish!  A huge thank you to CAT Footwear to sending me along to Kendal Calling - maybe see you in a year, Kendal!
