FASHION FORWARD: Style Inspiration from Nintendo?

I think it's no secret that I'm a bit of a gamer (I mean I had a Reshiram GIF in my blog sidebar for the best part of 2 years) so when the opportunity to work with Nintendo cropped up, of course I couldn't refuse - especially when the game is all about fashion!

New Style Boutique is all about the rise to the top of the fashion world - whether it's managing a boutique, being an ace hairdresser or pro make-up artist, there are a ton of career paths you can choose - but I won't spoil it too much for you guys.

At the start of the game you create your character and pick out a style kit that suits you best (boho, girly or gothic) - obviously I chose gothic, and inside were some badass pieces; biker jackets, chunky boots, buckles and black galore!  I dressed my character up in some adorable outfits (photos after the break) so I thought I'd recreate the style in real life!

The outfits I created in the app were all centred around high socks and a mini skirt, just looks so cute!  There's a high-neck top in my game wardrobe, and luckily I have one in my real-life wardrobe so picked that out, and of course I couldn't leave out the biker jacket!  As the print on the top is kinda witchy, I thought I'd add my own twist with this rad 'book of spells' clutch - it's got pentagrams all printed on the inside and is my new obsession, so damn awesome!

At the start of the game you pick out a hairstyle and colour (no pink unfortunately...but that changes!) and are greeted by a very enthusiastic girl who will help you on your journey of being a boutique owner.  I'm now at the stage where I get to buy in different styles, the wardrobe on this game is seriously killer, would deffo swap with my IRL stuff!

I've already found the local rock club and performed a set (yep!!) and unlocked make-up and hairstyles, meaning I can have grungy red make-up pink hair in the game too - yay!  Now my main goal is to stock all of the goth clothes and turn everyone in the city into punk rockers, wish me luck!

What do you guys think of my character?  Would you give New Style Boutique 2: Fashion Forward a try?

  9. The Print Profits shows that you can earn from eCommerce without having to deal with stocks, dropshipping or have a huge capital. Ecommerce has allowed firms to establish a market presence, or to enhance an existing market position, by providing a cheaper and more efficient distribution chain for their products or services. One example of a firm that has successfully used ecommerce is Target. This mass retailer not only has physical stores, but also has an online store where the customer can buy everything from clothes to coffee makers to action figures. Amazon, by contrast, is a primarily an ecommerce-based business that built up its operations around online purchases and shipments to consumers. Individual sellers can also engage in ecommerce, establishing shops on their own websites or through marketplaces such as eBay or Etsy. Such marketplaces, which gather multitudes of sellers, serve as platforms for these exchanges. The purchases are typically fulfilled by the private sellers, though some online marketplaces take on such responsibilities as well. Ecommerce transactions are typically be done through a computer, a tablet, or a smartphone.

Consumer to consumer e-commerce has many benefits. The primary benefit to consumers is reduction in cost. Buying ad space on other e-commerce sites is expensive. Sellers can post their items for free or with minimal charge depending on the C2C website. C2C websites form a perfect platform for buyers and sellers who wish to buy and sell related products. The ability to find related products leads to an increase in the visitor to customer conversion ratio. Business owners can cheaply maintain C2C websites and increase profits without the additional costs of distribution locations. A good example of a C2C e-commerce website is Esty, a site that allows consumers to buy and sell handmade or vintage items and supplies including art, photography, clothing, jewelry, food, bath and beauty products, quilts, knick-knacks, and toys.
