I'd say it's not much of a secret that my skin kinda sucks, but the beauty of modern make-up and technology helps my to conceal (literally) this secret online. I know it's absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, and it's completely normal for people to suffer from breakouts, but when you have so many people speculating your online platforms, and it takes 1 second to erase that spot on your forehead, why wouldn't you?
At the end of the day, it's all about confidence. I'm lucky that it doesn't affect me enough that I won't leave the house without make-up on - it doesn't bother me if strangers see me without make-up, but with people I know I do feel insecure. When going to blogger events or places I may get ~recognised (usually gigs or festivals), I get so worried that people compare me to my polished online persona and make comments like 'she's spotty in real life' etc. I'm sure I'm blowing it out of proportion and people may not even notice, but it's always an underlying thought when I'm in that position, which really affects my confidence.
I have a huge plethora of blemish-fighting skincare, and am always looking out for the next miracle product, so when I was offered the opportunity to try out LQ Liquid Health Advanced Skin Care I was very curious.
This one teeny bottle contains 14 active ingredients, including marine collagen, turmeric, aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, plus vitamin A, zinc and biotin, to help improve and maintain skin conditions, like acne, psoriasis and eczema, pretty darn impressive in my opinion!
Obviously I have to cover the taste; it's mostly sweet and orangey due to the added sweeteners so it goes down very easily, I drink it alongside my breakfast every morning!
You can pick this lil guy up in a pack of 10 for £29.99 from the LQ Liquid Health online store, and they're also exclusively stocked in Boots.
As for the results, you can see for yourselves!
BEFORE - 17 FEBRUARY 2016
Some pretty aggressive breakouts here - this is my skin at it's worst, which happens once a month when my hormones are all over the place. I was very scared to put these images on the Internet so please be kind!
DURING - 17 MARCH 2016
An amazing improvement after just one month! Hardly any active spots, and no big angry ones. My confidence absolutely soared too, I was able to just slap on some BB cream rather than use my expensive heavy coverage foundation and felt so happy about myself.
AFTER - 13 APRIL 2016
Okay so, my return to uni did include a couple of boozy nights which may or may not have ended in pizza...so that explains the breakout I got going on here, pretty bad timing, but it's also around 'my hormonal time' so I guess that can't be helped - still a damn sight better than when I started though!

As you can see, I started off with some pretty big, angry red spots all over the place, which had completely vanished in just 1 month, just leaving behind some scarring.
The change has not only been in my skin, but also my confidence, which you truly can't put a price on. I'm always willing to spend frivolously on my skin, as you only ever get one face, so it's best to look after it! I've actually been wearing foundation less frequently, going make-up free or opting instead for tinted moisturiser if I'm seeing friends, as I don't have any face mountains to cover! Having clearer skin is truly liberating and I'd honestly recommend trying out LQ Liquid Health if you're looking to better your skin.
You can find out more about LQ Liquid Health Advanced Skin Care from their website or buy at Boots at £29.99 for 10 bottles. It is recommended to drink LQ daily for 1 month (2-3 for best results), then to maintain the results you can reduce to 3 or 4 bottles per week. Boots are actually running a 3 for 2 deal on their site at the moment if you want to try it out at a discount!
