I'M KISSING YOU GOODBYE

Hat // Topshop
Bracelet* // Jon Richard
Necklace // DIY
Dress* // AX Paris
Bag // Lulu Guinness (mums!)
Shoes* // Shellys London
Rings // The Bohemian Co*, vintage, Thomas Sabo, Diamonfire, Rachael Sudlow

It's my birthday tomorrow weeeee!  I'm weirdly excited but not at the same time - I always build up my birthday to be amazing only to get disappointed because I set my expectations too high.  I was just asked what I was doing on wednesday by my mum - got my hopes up because I thought she was organising a birthday meal only to have her ask me if I wanted to be booked in for the flu jab she's having, ah.  I'm seeing Alex so I'm sure it'll be nice, it just sucks that all my friends work full time or have gone to uni!

Anyway enough complaining - lets move onto the outfit!  Yet again I have nabbed an item from my mothers wardrobe (no way could I afford my own Lulu!) and I think it brings the outfit together really nicely as it's quite basic if you take away the print.  I can imagine Twiggy wearing a dress like this back in the 60s, it's such an awesome print and is so on trend at the moment as everyone's going crazy over monochrome.  Oh and how could I forget the shoes?  These babies are from Shellys London who have just launched a huge new collection and I think they have taken over as my favourite shoe brand!  I love the shape of these so much and they're so easy to walk in!

Before I sign off, are any of you bloggers attending the Bleach London event tonight?  Tweet me if you are!

RED IN TOOTH & CLAW

Sweatshirt* // SheInside
Shorts * // Missguided & DIY
Socks // Topshop
Spiked Coltranes // Jeffrey Campbell
Earring // DIY
Necklace // Thrifted
Rings // Darkside*, market, Primark

I absolutely adore this stained glass print sweatshirt from SheInside, it's so soft and the print is so intricate, it reminds me of the Black Milk leggings that were so big a while ago.  I found it a little difficult to style, but I think it went alright with these Missguided shorts that I DIY'd myself at the blogger party I went to a little while back.  I thought the outfit was too casual for chunky heels, so I stepped into my favourite flats, my spiked Coltranes and I like the final result, although I must apologise for the awful lighting, it was sunset at the time but I was determined to finish taking photos!

My Boohoo DIY!

T-shirt* // Boohoo
Shorts (were trousers) // Thrifted & DIY
Lipstick // Mac Morange

So at the moment Boohoo are running a campaign at the moment where if you tweet a DIY that you've done with the hashtags #BoohooDIY and #BoohooSWAG you're in for a chance of winning two Parklife Festival tickets!  I was sent a little kit with a selection of studs, gems, glitter paint and glue as well as a basic charcoal tee so I went a little nuts with the glue and gems!  I was originally going to glue on a gem kind of 'bib' and had it laid out until my mum suggested I stick them on the sleeves.  I was skeptical at first but I laid out the gems and thought it looked great!  I haven't seen anything similar to it before and when wearing the top you can hardly feel that they're there.  As you can see from the photos, I laid the gems symmetrically but that's just because I'm a little OCD, I think it would also look awesome if they were sporadically placed, and if I had more gems I would definitely have covered the whole sleeve!  What do you think of my DIY, will you be entering the #BoohooSwag competition? If so it ends June 3rd so be quick!

SWEET KEROSENE

Skull tee* // Chicnova
Shorts // Betty Barclay via charity shop
Chelsea boots // Deena & Ozzy via Urban Outfitters
Skeleton hair clip* // Paccony
Necklaces // Both DIY
Bracelet* // Persunmall
Rings // Vintage, Rachael Sudlow, Market, Primark, Market

So today's outfit is quite thrifty for me!  A lot of the time my charity shop finds might be satisfactory, but never really that amazing.  I stumbled upon a pair of capri trousers in a charity shop in Farnham a little while ago and obviously the first thing that stood out was the fact they were galaxy and rose print, but the price tag was also something like £6 which is a lot for a charity shop.  It crossed my mind to put them back but I decided to buy them, and subsequently made them into shorts, and I absolutely adore them!  They are a little big for me so I'm considering selling them but they're so unique they'll be hard to let go of.  I decided to pair it with my Skull tee from Chicnova, which looks exactly like the Lazy Oaf tee they brought out not so long ago and I never bought.  Not really my most favourite of looks but simple I guess!
