VLOG // F&F Press Day & Motel Rocks Party

Just a vlog I filmed at a blogger event last week. I'm still getting used to the whole vlogging thing as I'm not as confident in front of a video camera but hopefully I'll get more comfortable with it the more I film.  This video is probably has more footage of drunken bloggers than the event haha, but I hope you enjoy watching!

Merry Christmas!

 Okay so I can definitely say that this has been the weirdest end to a christmas day ever.  I had a brilliant day, got a gorgeous new camera, the Nikon D3200 from my dad as a joint 18th birthday present and christmas present as well as a camera lens mug, a naff christmas jumper from my brother, a super soft hoodie from my dads girlfriend, some new foundation and a bunch of sweets and bath stuff, typical girl things!

Anyway, getting onto what just happened!  I was driving along to my boyfriends house when all of a sudden a deer jumps into the road so naturally I panic and swerve (the thing you are NOT supposed to do..EVER) and went right into a sign in the middle of the dual carriageway, like 100 yards from my house.  Thankfully as I was so close to home my dad came out straight away, and I wasn't harmed but there is a significant amount of damage to the bottom of the front of my car and we think the underside is damaged and there's a bit of a leak, so I'm going to have it checked out so lets just hope my poor baby will be okay ):

Rubylips Salvador Dali Lipstick Review

I received this lipstick as a christmas present from my mum at our early christmas on saturday and I just had to share it simply because I love the packaging!  As I've said before, I'm no beauty blogger, in fact I literally know hardly anything about that whole make-up review thing, but all I can do is try!

I found the lipstick easy to apply and it stayed on for a good 5 hours or so until I needed to reapply.  It's more of a cherry shade so with my green eyes it really makes them pop, which is always good, but I think the thing we've all noticed is the packaging.  It's shaped like the lips from the iconic Mae West painting by Dali, which also inspired the famous lip shaped sofa we all know so well.  For £1.99 you really can't go wrong with this vampy red, perfect gift for any girl!

So it's a bit late (try like 4 days) but I have finally filtered down my photos to put them into a post.  You may have seen a couple of posts floating around about the Motel Rocks #MotelXmas blogger party but I just had to share!  It was the first event I've ever been to other than Lily's blogger picnic and I honestly had an incredible time.  Everyone was so lovely and I actually made some friends!  I met Jess, Francesca and Stacey on the way and talked to a ton of bloggers while I was there, like Kim, Lyzi, Kirsti, Chelsea, Selina and a couple more which I can't think of off the top of my head (damn you, free bar!).  But anyway enough with the name dropping! There were a few cute little stands, including the Eyelure eyelash bar where I got my eyelashes done, a MyFace makeup stand, a Lee Stafford stand with Lee Stafford himself (!), a photobooth, a little table with Rock 'n' Rose jewellery and Jeffrey Campbells and of course, on the stage was the new Motel Rocks collection which was absolutely drop dead gorgeous!  My photos unfortunately aren't that good as it was dark but I'm in love with literally everything, especially the studded leather jackets, disco pant-alikes and of course nobody does a sequin dress better than Motel Rocks!  I had a fab time and I hope to go to more blogger events in the future, I've bought my ticket for #SWBXmas already so if you're going, see you there!

So this beauty turned up in my post the other day and I literally had to sit down and compose myself (and instagram it) before I tried it on, is that sad?  I'm so so happy with it and because it has long sleeves and the fabric is thick, it's perfect for christmas/new years parties.  I've already worn it out to a party and the motel rocks event (which I'll post about tomorrow) but will definitely be posting an outfit post featuring it soon so stay tuned!

I walk with shadows

It's a little late, but I thought I'd make a post about the makeup that I got for Christmas.  It's basically all benefit but meh.  I'm no ~beauty blogger so I have no idea about terminology etc so here goes:

The first thing is the Legally Bronze Kit which contains the Gilded pencil highlighter, High Beam, BAD LASH in brown and the Hoola bronzing powder.  I'm a huge fan of the Hoola and it's my favourite bronzer, so this was much appreciated, especially as my current one is in appalling condition!  The Second item is the Realness of Concealness kit which is actually so cute! It contains 3 little bottles, with 'Ooh La Lift', 'Lip Plump' and 'High Beam' as well as Lemon Aid and Boi-ing as swatchy things on the right.  Next is the Erase Paste, another concealer which is apparently amazing for getting rid of tired eyes and I'm in desperate need of some concealer so this was a godsend.  After that we have the BAD LASH in black (that I forgot to photograph), which I'll probably use a little more than the brown, and actually I was a little disappointed with this product, as it doesn't really do much for me.  I don't have short lashes, but this just doesn't seem to do much!  Lastly is a MAC lipstick that my dad got me, the colour is A81 Morange, and it's kind of an orangey coral colour, although it looks quite red in photographs.  I never wear lipstick so I'm a little intimidated by it, especially as my lips aren't small! It is a nice colour and I hope to wear lipstick more frequently this year!

Anyway, sorry that was insanely rambly, I'm super tired and, as I said, I suck at makeup terminology! I hope you got the gist anyway, and if you have any further questions about any of the products then feel free to leave a comment or tweet me!

Today hasn't been too bad.  Presentwise it's been awesome, but familywise not so much.  My mum and stepdad aren't good and the day was reflected by this.  Mum went to bed at like 5 and everyone was apart on the day where you're supposed to be a strong family unit, playing games and watching movies etc.  Anyway I'll stop being a downer! We dressed my baby bro in a little santa outfit and went to the ice rink and Christmas dinner was incredible. I've now got Christmas at my dads house to look forward to on the 29th and I had Christmas with my grandparents last week, and actually have some pictures of that to put up, so expect many pictures very soon!

At the moment I'm watching Danisnotonfire and Amazing Phil on the Radio 1 website and they are so funny! I love their videos so a 2 hour show featuring them is a dream come true, they also interview Oli Sykes, ahhh! If you're online now I strongly recommend clicking here and watching/listening to them!
