Company X Beyond Retro Party

So a few of you may have seen me on the cover of Company Magazine last month alongside the lovely Zoella, and because of that I was invited to the Beyond Retro X Company East London issue party!  I had a lovely night shopping with Sophie, Katie, Arabella and Charlotte, sipping on delicious BrewDog cocktails and bobbing along to the Blonde Ambition DJ set.  This then led to me cooing over the 50% off area and eventually (half drunkenly) buying a chunky fringed leather jacket..still can't decide whether I love it or hate it but it's a bit late for that isn't it!  Big thanks to the Company team for throwing such a rad event, and also for inviting along little ol' me!  Coincidentally, today I'm out in London shooting for Company again, so keep an eye out for me in the glossy pages in the near future (;
Ps. How cute is the resident cat, Tiny, with his little vintage scarf bed? AW!

VLOG // F&F Press Day & Motel Rocks Party

Just a vlog I filmed at a blogger event last week. I'm still getting used to the whole vlogging thing as I'm not as confident in front of a video camera but hopefully I'll get more comfortable with it the more I film.  This video is probably has more footage of drunken bloggers than the event haha, but I hope you enjoy watching!

Sunday Summary Week 77 // LONDON 1/11/12

Bit of a different sunday summary today, as I hardly have any instagram photos from the past week!  I went to London on Thursday and really liked some of the pictures I took so thought I'd post them.  I took them all on my iphone and edited them in picfx which is how I edit all my photos, would definitely recommend it!  I bought two things from H&M which I'll probably share soon.  Halloween was pretty hectic with me running out of sweets and getting all a bit hectic but I'm just happy my house didn't get egged so it's all good.  I also went to a halloween party last night as a sugar skull and although the photos aren't great I'll post them tomorrow anyway, night!

I'M ON THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS

Sunglasses - Camden
Denim vest - DIY
Back patch - While She Sleeps Merch
Tie dye dress - Miracle Eye
LOVE belt - Urban Outfitters
Bag - Charity shop
Snake arm cuff - vintage

Pretty long overdue, but this is the outfit that I wore to Lily's blogger picnic (post here) a couple of sundays ago.  I don't really wear this dress very much as it's a little long for me so is unflattering sometimes, and my mum's supposed to be shortening it a bit but she's taking ages to get round to it, so I just tucked up the dress into my belt!  I may not be as much a whizz on the sewing machine as my mum but I finally managed to sew my While She Sleeps back patch onto a denim vest I made a little while ago and I'm so happy with how it turned out and it's definitely made me a lot more confident with sewing machines, but not as much to trust myself to hem anything!
ps - how creepy are my legs in the second photo, one seems to have disappeared, freaky!

Lily's Picnic!

Bit of a late post, but last sunday I went to Lily's birthday blogger meetup! I had an amazing time and brought along my friend Polly, who's pretty new to the blogging world so check out her blog! It was so lovely to meet new people, including obviously Lily, then Ella, Lyzi, Kim, Michelle and Camilla.  We went for a picnic in St James' Park with some yummy treats like cupcakes and sweeties, then when the weather started to turn bad we ventured into Fulvio & Mason which was beautiful, but everything was so amazing and expensive, I felt I couldn't touch any of it!  After that we went to a Boba bar for some boba tea which looks amazing, but really doesn't taste it.  It's like a japanese milkshake thing with jelly balls at the bottom and I got coconut.  It was a fun experience but they were so sickly and totally not worth around £4!  Next, me and Polly wanted to go to Camden so we split from the group and I bought a vintage dungarees from Rokit, and as is tradition, went to get some bang bang chicken!

Overall I had an awesome day and on the train home we came across the cutest little puppy, I couldn't not share a photo of it.  I have a ton of outfit photos so will post them in a separate post (:

I wish that I could just make up my mind

This saturday just gone I popped into London for the day with my friend, Melina.  We'd heard about the American Apparel Flea Market and figured it would be a good day out.  After missing 4/5 trains (I know, I know) we eventually got to London and went to Camden first with the sole intention of getting some bang bang chicken.  For those of you who have never had bang bang chicken, you haven't lived. Next time you're in Camden, walk up from the tube station towards the Lock, and when you get to All Saints, turn right where there are a load of food stalls.  The first one you come to there will be a guy with a low, buzzy voice who will call you 'bruv' and throw chicken in your face.  TAKE THE CHICKEN AND EXPERIENCE HEAVEN ON EARTH.

Anyway, after looking around the market for a while we faffed about on the tube, eventually getting to Liverpool Street and spent another half hour dawdling around trying to find brick lane, where the flea market was.  We got caught up in a few shops along the way, like Urban Outfitters, Whistles, a load of vintage stores, the Lomography store, and a shoe shop where I came sooo close to buying some creepers for £85, so glad I didn't now, as I found some on eBay for £60 which I'm debating about buying!

After getting distracted to no end we found the Flea Market and as it was quite late (7/8pm) there were hardly any queues, took us 10 mins at the most to get in, and it was quite empty inside, so there was no frantic buying rush.  I ended up buying two things which I'll post about when I can get hold of them (stupidly left them at my Dads house).  The market was pretty good, although the reductions weren't THAT good, the items were average and there weren't even any socks, which is one of the main reasons I wanted to go; plus looooads of the stock is damaged, so if you're going, make sure you check each item thoroughly, because you don't want to spend £20 on a nice blouse, if you're going to get home with a mighty big burn hole on the back (which nearly happened to my friend!).

All in all, it was a good day and I'm happy with my purchases, and that I didn't actually spend as much as I thought I would, I even got away with a childs ticket(;  I'll post about my purchases when I can!
