Photograms

So I've been super busy lately with college lately so apologise for the lack of posting!  I just thought I'd share some of my photography with you guys.  This technique is called photogram, which is when you go into the darkroom with light-sensitive photo paper, place things on the surface, then shine a light on for a small amount of time.  You then have to develop it and you get a really cool result!  I used dreamcatchers, feathers, necklaces and a tiny glass vial with dandelion fluff in it.  I don't really know what happened to the first dreamcatcher photo, some kind of fault when I was developing it but I think it turned out really cool!

I'll try my best to get back into blogging soon.  Also this week I've reached 280 blog followers, won a skull necklace from the This.Is.What.I.Do giveaway and been nominated for a blog award from the lovely Sara from The Woolen Mitten.  I'll try get round to doing the questions if I have time, thank you!

2/ Reached 100 transactions/feedback on eBay. Guess it pleased me somewhat
3/ Re-elasticated my '08 Reading band, teachers made me cut it off a while ago and the other elastic went all skanky
4/ Got my college timetable!
5/ Got my college planner!
6/ A bit carried away on FYSyourself.  Scenie Weenie Amy hahaha

Things I loved this week:
1/
Beth's blog, Ramz & The flock
2/ Passive Agressive notes is just too funny
3/ Sleeping With Siren's music, so good!

I don't really have much to say today apart from the fact I went to work.  I'm just monging around at home nomming on yesterdays leftover pizza thinking of how I'm going to spend my Lomography groupon voucher.  But it's my first proper day at college tomorrow so I'm pretty nervous, wish me luck!

My Street Chic

This is just a little shoutout post to the team over at MyStreetChic!  I discovered their site last week and I loooove it.  You can check out the fashion style of other people, as well as posting your own looks, and this week they made me Chic of the week, so check out the article here.  They also sent me two lots of lovely gifts, just because I was using the site, and I'm pretty sure this is exclusive to everyone, and all you have to do is contribute a little!  The first package was some nail varnish in a cute shimmery pink colour and the second was glitter mascara and Red or Dead(!) tights.  I can't believe that I got such a big brand for free, they're definitely my new favourite pair of tights and are pretty thick, so will be perfect for the coming autumn months.

So to end my burbling, thank you so much to the team at MyStreetChic.  I love your site and keep up the good work!

EDIT: I was just about to throw away the wrapping when I found another little something!  It's an adorable MyStreetChic branded chapstick.  Definitely gonna be keeping that handy for the coming cold!

College

So today is one of those days where I cannot think of anything to post.  I've been at college all morning for an induction day and it was pretty nerve wracking.  There were so many people there, and it was only less than half my year, so it's going to be so weird getting used to a super busy college, with 3300 students.  I hope to make some new friends soon, as I know absolutely no one in my form.  I'm taking graphic design, photography, english language and business studies, and in a week I have 3 late starts and 1 early finish which isn't too bad!  Also the picture is irrelevant, I took it a while ago and just needed a picture for the post, as I hate posting a blog entry without a photo! Excuse the Pokénerd-ness.

EDIT: I forgot to add, MyStreetChic have made me Chic of the Week! check the article/interview here.

Blessed With a Curse

I haven't made a Polyvore look in what feels like a lifetime, so I decided to make one the other day, featuring a couple of items from my shop, Iridescent!  Buy the shorts here and the ear cuff here.  The title is the name of a song by Bring Me The Horizon, which was so amazing live when I saw them at Reading Festival recently.  I've also featured the Jeffrey Campbell cosmic litas which I've been lusting after for sooo long.  Anyway, I'd love to hear what you think of the outfit so feel free to comment!
