Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Mascara - £22 - House of Fraser

My mum has definitely turned me into a make up snob, but it's just the best when your mum returns from holiday with cosmetics because she can't resist duty free!  Anyway, read on for my attempt at being a beauty blogger.
My first impression of this mascara was that the brush is very similar to that of the L'Oreal Telescopic Explosion mascara that I owned a good while ago.  I remember that working but was not really that impressed with this mascara.  The brush is small so obviously it's very easy to use on your bottom and inside lashes.  It separates lashes well but doesn't really add volume or length, I found the brush was too small to use on my top lashes and it would take a while to see a difference.  I do, however, use the brush as a 'base' for my actual mascara and as a finishing touch in the corners etc.  It is a true black which I like in a mascara and after wearing it for a day there was no flaking or smudging.  For £22 I wouldn't buy this mascara again, but it's received mixed views, with a lot of people raving about it, so don't take my word for it!

This dress from Oh My Love has definitely got to be my favourite dress at the moment.  I've never seen anything like it, with the quirky cut-outs and wave-textured material, it kind of reminds me of an oil slick.  The name of the dress is 'Rita' and if they mean Rita Ora, then they've managed to transform her awesomeness into a dress perfectly!  I accessorised with simple jewellery (less is more dah-link) and think this fishbone necklace from Delilah Dust goes so nicely, it'll definitely be a necklace I get a lot of wear out of, and I think it's so unique too.  I also think the cut-outs of the dress looks kind of like a skull, with my studded belt being the teeth, then the cut-outs being eyes and nose..anyone else see it? Just me?

This is also the debut of my new block fringe on my blog!  I got it cut in for a photoshoot and although it's a lot shorter than I would like it's growing on me (literally..haha!) but I'm going to grow it out into a side fringe like I used to have as I feel it makes me look a lot younger, which I don't really like!

Just thought I'd post a quick haul featuring my awesome new jacket and keyring from FreestyleXtreme.  It's not exactly a website I'd usually shop on but as soon as I saw this jacket I knew that it had to be mine!  You can't go wrong with a statement backpatch and if you've been a follower of my blog for a while you'll know I already own some denim vests with backpatches.  I just think they're an awesome way to make an outfit, as you don't see them around very often.  As for the keyring, I love the Volcom logo, and my car keys are pretty plain, especially now that my last keyring broke, so this will be the perfect replacement!

I was meant to post this look on Valentines day (as I think it's all nice and Valentines-y) but I didn't have time unfortunately, but better late than never I guess!  I received this gorgeous dress from Motel Rocks and I'm head over heels in love with it.  It's totally on trend at the moment with everyone going crazy for monochrome and what's great about it is that I can wear it out or just as a day dress!  I wanted to accessorize simplistically, but with a splash of colour, so borrowed my mums Lulu Guinness lips clutch and think it goes so well, just wish I had one of my own!

Nails of the Month // Black & Gold

I no longer have my nails like this anymore because unfortunately the top coat started peeling, but this is how I had my nails over the beginning of the new year!  I went to a black & gold themed new years party so had them specially painted for the event (I get them done in a salon as I have acrylic overlays) and had them copy the lilac and silver nails I had back in September [link] and I really liked how they turned out, what do you think?

VIDEO // Black Milk Haul

Not filmed a video in a little while so thought I'd do a haul on the Black Milk leggings I bought in the cyber monday sale not so long ago.  I got the call of Napoleon leggings for myself and my friend Polly got the police box ones, then we both chipped in for some beer ones for our friend Loulie who just turned 18 the other week.  I'm so happy with the items, the quality is so high and print really good quality as well as the fit being perfect.  However, and there is quite a big however; I received two letters a couple of days ago from FedEx saying that I have to pay £40 worth of customs charges, not cool.  Just wondering if I could get any tips about the charges, can I complain to Black Milk and get them to pay or do I just have to pay them myself, and what if I don't? I'm so confused with everything!

Apologies for the topsy-turvy-ness of the photos today, and crappy lighting is starting to become a norm now, damn you winter! My tripod just wasn't cooperating with me therefore everything's a bit slanted so just try to ignore it aha.  I was sent this drop dead gorgeous dress by Lashes of London and I wore it to my friend's 18th the other day, receiving a good few compliments so I'll definitely be wearing it again very soon!  I decided to style it up really simple as the shape of the dress is so lovely with the structured skirt I didn't want to detract from it, then to finish it off I added the simple OASAP cuff to add another gold accent!
